Ok so this did not end up resolving my issue so I have resorted to using a new email client on the Android.
K9 mail is what I am currently using and I have not had any problems with it since I installed it.
After doing the Telus 2.1.1 update on the milestone I ran into this issue. I had to follow the steps from the article.
From the phone go to
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > [menu >Filter - Running] > select Email > Clear data.
This will clear ALL settings for any email account setup (except the Gmail account) and you’ll have to setup the account again.
The application Email (process com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly – Android Help.

Please be careful when opening attachments in email. You should know you are expecting an attachment from someone before opening it. If your not sure send an email to them to ensure they did indeed send it. If you just want to be safe delete it an never open it.
Our day home provider Chelsea has been great about sending us some pictures of the boys. They look like they are having so much fun. I love that they are so active whether they are inside or out. Enjoy the pictures.
